Turangi sits at the southern end of Lake Taupō, where the Tongariro River runs out toward the lake, and it’s long been known as a trout-fishing town and a gateway to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the central plateau ski fields. That mix of fishing, tramping and ski traffic gives the place a seasonal rhythm, and it shapes the electrical work that comes our way through the year.
